— Snowbombing, Europe’s premier snow and music festival, has revealed the first wave of acts for 2016! Taking place on 4-9 April 2016, Snowbombing will wake the sleepy Alpine town of Mayrhofen, bringing a show-stopping line-up that includes iconic dance act The Prodigy, Jungle, Netsky, Andy C, Oliver Heldens, Hannah Wants, Hot Since 82, Henrik Schwarz, Marcel Dettmann and Noisia.

— ‘A whole generation is going to think of him in a different way’: Steve Jobs’ allies condemn Hollywood biopic which they say depicts him as cruel and inhumane.

— Held in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3) and under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Dubai Design Week is a citywide event during 26-31 October, engaging the entire community and shining the global spotlight on the city with an extensive array of world premieres, installations and activities across the six days.

— Worldwide music star Enrique Iglesias, global chart-toppers Florence + The Machine and iconic British band blur were revealed as part of the Yasalam After-Race Concert line up exclusive to race ticket holders. Arabic night announced a star-studded line up at du Arena, including DJ Said Mrad and Hamza, Fares Karam, Aryam and Cheb Khaled. Volkswagen Beats on the Beach: International and regional superstars Faithless, J.Cole, Wael Kfoury, Bamboo,Fayez Al Sayeed and Arwa, will perform Live on the Corniche alongside local favourites throughout the race weekend.

— Season 6 (SS16) will take place from 22 - 24 October 2016 at Madinat Jumeriah Dubai. Event is in partnership with Dubai Design District.

— Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns producer with Jazbaa. When asked about it, Jazbaa’s director Sanjay Gupta went on record to say that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was always on board as the film’s producer and it was just that they did not announce the same.

— Perhaps the most important event in the world of luxury watches in the Middle East will gather more than 40 speakers in the field of luxury watches from around the world at 10 am on October 18 at the Dubai International Financial Centre.

— Kangna Ranaut and Deepika Padukone have one thing in common. They’ve both paid a tribute to the mythical Madhubala. In Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Kangna played a character that was partly inspired by Madhubala. Now in Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB)’s Bajirao Mastani Deepika Padukone has paid a full-on tribute to Madhubala’s legendary Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya from K Asif’s Mughal-e-Azam. “The Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya number in Mughal-e-Azam was designed to showcase Madhubala’s beauty in all its glory. Director K Asif had shot the song in a spectacularly constructed ‘Sheesh Mahal’ set. Sanjay Bhansali has designed his song on his ‘Aaina Mahal’ set as a tribute to K Asif, Mughal-e-Azam and Deepika,” says a source from the film.

— Mad Max villain Nathan Jones to feature in A Flying Jatt. Ekta Kapoor and Remo Dsouza’s ambitious superhero film A Flying Jatt, has pulled off a major casting coup. Mad Max villain Nathan Jones takes on the mantle of playing the ‘Supervillain’ to Tiger Shroff’s superhero character.

— Marvel Comics has released a series ofcomic book covers inspired by Rap album covers. The “Marvelized” versions of album art from Nas’ Illmatic, Dr. Dre’s The Chronicand N.W.A’s Straight Outta Compton were among the ones Marvel Comics’ Editor-In-Chief Axel decided to include in Marvel’s initiative. “This is the soundtrack to my life, and I also know this is the soundtrack to a number of other people’s lives that work in comics,” Alonso says during an interview with MTV News. “And that group has grown, and grown over the years. I’ve been in comics now for some 25 years, and I’ve noticed that there are more and more people of all races who are into hip-hop. This is the music that they listen to.”
