Recruitment row: Hearing set for Nov. 9

JEDDAH — The Administrative Court in Riyadh will hold on Nov. 9 a second hearing into a complaint filed by 100 recruitment companies against the Ministry of Labor. The complaint was filed after the ministry set a ceiling on fees for the recruitment of domestic workers from Bangladesh and Niger. The ministry also set a 60-day deadline for completing the recruitment process and said a fine of SR100 will be imposed for each day of delay after the 60-day period.
