E-track curtailed bogus Haj operations

JEDDAH — E-track, which was implemented by the Ministry of Haj for the first time during this year’s Haj season, has helped curtail bogus Haj operators and unjustified price hikes, according to Minister of Haj Bandar Muhammad Hajjar. Saudis and expatriates used to complain of being overcharged by Haj operators but this time the e-track allowed them to register in the program and pay all related fees electronically within minutes. The system has been credited with decreasing the number of problems people encountered while signing up for Haj. Hajjar made the comments during the inauguration of the 3rd Forum for companies and establishments that served domestic pilgrims.
