‘The Kingdom’s greatest exports’ (Oct. 3)

Your SR100 note when it passed from hand to hand is diminished.  Why? Go back to your Economics 101 and basic accounting courses. Ask your government to stop the processing of documents for expat workers. Send all foreign workers home. Do their work yourself. Do not blame them.

Leo Anthony Almora

Ease regulations for setting up businesses in Saudi Arabia. Encourage more foreign investment and instead of making things miserable for businesses, make things easy and that will make you stop whining about remittances. The result will be greater job opportunities and less import of goods, and that alone will compensate for “remittances”.

Arjumand Qazi

Foreign investment would mean capital flight. And that is what the writer is whining about. The country should close its doors to all types of workers now, and not renew the contracts of foreign workers. In that way Saudis do the work and their money stays in the country.
